自由亚洲电台8月5日报道,北京消息:中国鞍山钢铁公司大约百名下岗工人代表已在北京连续示威了一个星期,要求合理补偿。
据设在香港的"中国劳工通讯"星期二披露,这一百来人代表了三年前下岗的大约3千名辽宁省鞍山钢铁公司的工人。目前,这些工人每年每人从公司只得到400元生活费。在与公司谈判未果之后,工人代表决定到北京有关政府机构进行申诉。工人们还抱怨受公司领导的工会没有任何独立性,不能给工人什么帮助。据悉,工人代表在北京连续一周的请愿示威似乎取得初步效果,鞍山钢铁公司已经同意派代表到北京与工人谈判。...
