From Global Times:
Workers at BMW's dealership in Dalian, Liaoning Province in northeast China protested in regard of "several hundreds of thousands yuan" of unpaid bonuses, the 21st Century Business Herald reported.
And that is not the only problem the dealer faces. On Monday, all leaders of senior level at the Northern China German Auto (NCGA) received an email titled: "Overdue wages of sales staff" from all the sales staff of NCGA (in Beijing).
The company had fired all middle-level leaders in Dalian NCGA on June 18 on the grounds of not acting in concert with the audit causing the head of NCGA to launch an all-staff strike immediately.
An insider said, "The audit, which has been done five times affects regular services."
Mark McLarty, the Chairman of NCGA flew to Dalian with other senior leaders last Friday to negotiate with NCGA (Dalian) executives on behalf of the staff.
Every staff member at Dalian DCGA received a text message from the company's superior department that asked them to resume work in time on June 21 or else face dismissal.
An anonymous source revealed that NCGA has been in arrears with sales consultants' financial bonuses since 2008, and workers have unsuccessfully claimed their bonuses for eight months.
A sales person of NCGA in Beijing said the basic wage of a sales consultant is between 1,500 to 2,000 yuan, plus bonuses that are fuits from car-selling, motor car insurance and financing.
The 21st Century Business Herald reported that NCGA has agreed to add a 20-percent raise to its employees in Dalian, but the two sides haven't reached any agreement on compensation for dismissed staffs.
