Workers Protest Against Baoji Handicraft Company in Shenzhen

  From CLB: On March 3, 2005, nearly 100 workers at the Baoji Handicraft Company in Shenzhen surrounded the main factory after being dismissed with no severance pay. The workers had received an “early holiday” notice from the factory in the second half of October, in which the factory promised they would be able to return to work in March of 2005. When the workers returned to the factory on March 2, they were not allowed to enter and were told they had been dismissed without compensation.
