Baobai Group Department Store Workers Protest in Baoding

  From CLB: 10 May 2010: Laid-off workers from another Baoding SOE, the Baobai Group, set off on another march to Beijing (see photo below). When the SOE had restructured in July 2000, the employees were awarded shares in the new company. Management then used a range of methods to force employees to resign and sign an ―agreement for voluntary return of stock. This enabled the management to pocket workers‘ shares.
